CNET reporter Caroline McCarthy reports on yet another case of ‘Oops I forgot that Facebook creates a permanent record of my company’s comments — and consumers’ reactions to them — that I shouldn’t threaten to delete.
When developing a Facebook strategy, be sure to develop, and enact, strict guidelines for the professionals in charge of monitoring and posting to your Facebook site. What they say can come back and bite you. While riding the wave of the hundreds of millions of Facebook users online today, beware that a wholistic strategy must be in place for such crises.
