KCSA Managing Partner Lewis Goldberg will lead a panel at this week’s Cannabis World Congress and Business Expo at the Los Angeles Convention Center. The panel is called “Cannabis and the Capital Markets” and will be held on Thursday September 14th from 4:30-5:10 pm.
“Cowan, an investment bank, estimates that the legal cannabis industry will expand to a $50 billion market by 2026. Couple that with the nearly 200 public cannabis companies in the U.S. today, it is safe to say that the industry is at a tipping point. With all of that said, it’s going to be a fascinating year for cannabis, especially in the state of California. Our panel will look at what the future holds in the next year when it comes to investing in the highly regulated, dynamic cannabis marketplace,” said Mr. Goldberg.
- Nick Kovacevich, CEO, Kush Bottles, will take a look at what it means to be a public cannabis company. He can address why Kush decided to go public and offer advice to companies thinking about accessing the capital market. What are the parameters?
- Derek Peterson, Chairman, CEO & President, Terra Tech, will lend insight on what it means to navigate the SEC regarding regulatory issues surrounding the cannabis industry.
- Todd Sherer, Founder and Director of Business Development, Kind Growth Capital, will talk about what makes for an attractive cannabis company to lenders.
- Lewis Goldberg, Managing Partner, KCSA Strategic Communications, will moderate the panel and talk about how public companies can effectively communicate with shareholders and potential investors in order to achieve fair valuation.
The Cannabis World Congress and Business Expo will be held at the Los Angeles Convention Center on September 13-15 2017.
